Hand harvested, sorted in the winery, fermented individually in puncheons, pressed to barrel, aged in used French oak for 14 months. Only 25 cases made.

Coming from the sandy soils of this historic site in Santa Barbara County, the 2022 Syrah White Hawk Vineyard exhibits a ruby/plum hue that's mostly opaque as well as a gorgeous perfume of red currants, blackberries, peppery herbs, and flowers, with some classic, almost Cornas-like gaminess. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Syrah that has remarkable purity of fruit, a layered, elegant mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and sweet tannins that emerge on the finish.
