"The 2016 Ode to Bonarda (as Charbono is called in Argentina) is dark, fleshy and so delicious. Super-ripe dark cherry, black plum, spice and licorice are all amped up in this racy, juicy red. Dense and inviting, the 2016 is flat-out gorgeous. The tannins need time to soften, but there is plenty to look forward to as that happens. Ode to Bonarda is in reality a Charbono/Malbec blend taken from Shypoke in Calistoga and one of the most renowned sites on Howell Mountain." - Antonio Galloni, 94
